Descripción: Important Luxury Hotel & Residences -Dubai - United Arab Emirates Job Purpose: Under the general guidance of the Restaurant Manager, welcome, greet, and accommodate all guests in the hotel, restaurant, bar, and lounge. Ensure operating standards and guest requirements are met at all times. Duties & Functions: • Maintain a friendly and diplomatic relationship/manner with all prospective guests who wish to enter the restaurant or bar at all times • Ensure all reservation information is properly documented including time, date, number of covers, name/room number and contact number • Prepare table allocations from reservation book before respective meal period seating • Ensure guests are graciously shown to their tables within a reasonable time of their reservation • Adhere to hotel door policies and restrictions, including local and federal age guidelines aligned with liquor licensing • Guarantee there is host/hostess coverage at the maitre d stand at all times • Guarantee that the phone is answered within 2 rings in a courteous and helpful manner • Ensure door policies concerning the entry of guests and these are adhered to at all times • Ensure that seating is fair for all service staff • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned Specific Job Knowledge & Skills: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand restaurant or lounge • Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork Physical Abilities: • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 kg without assistance • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping Benefits & Compensation: Basic Salary: AED 3,000 = USD 815 Company provided housing: shared room (2 in 1) in shared apartment Medical Insurance Biennial return ticket to home destination 30 calendar day paid annual vacation Duty meals in employee dining
